🎯 Course Goal of Financial Reporting (FR) To develop the knowledge and skills required to understand and apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The course prepares learners to prepare, present, and interpret financial statements of entities, including groups, in accordance with IFRS, and to provide relevant financial information to stakeholders for decision-making.
✅ Learning Outcomes of FR By the end of the course, learners should be able to: 1. Understand the Regulatory Framework Explain the role and purpose of financial reporting. Understand the regulatory environment and the framework for the preparation and presentation of financial statements. 2. Apply IFRS Standards Accurately apply relevant IFRS standards to transactions and events. Prepare financial statements for single entities and simple groups in accordance with IFRS. 3. Prepare Financial Statements Prepare primary financial statements (income statement, statement of financial position, statement of changes in equity, and cash flow statement). Consolidate financial statements for simple group structures (parent and subsidiary). 4. Interpret Financial Statements Analyze and interpret financial information to assess an entity’s financial position, performance, and cash flows. Use ratio analysis and other techniques to support decision-making. 5. Address Ethical and Professional Issues Recognize ethical considerations in financial reporting. Apply professional judgment in the preparation and interpretation of financial statements.
